Hello from Chaos Software Group!

Another new build of our Chaos Intellect and Time & Chaos programs has been released as we continue to incorporate some of your great suggestions, as well as tweak on things to just make it a bit better.

The current version of Chaos Intellect is now 3.0.3.2 and for Time and Chaos, 7.0.3.2.

The Highlights

New Languages

We now have a pretty darn good translation of native French, Dutch, German and a good start on the Spanish language. We must acknowledge the contributions of our customers for their excellent work on this project!

Contacts

Have a big contact list and find it difficult to find the person you want? Want to find someone by their first name or by part of their Company name? We have added a new button on the Contact screen toolbar to add a Search Footer to your display. Once enabled, look down at the bottom of the contact list for a search box, as well as options to search up or down or to highlight matches on your list!

A new sort option has also been added to the contact list area! You can now sort by the Group column if you turn it on and click on the column heading for Group.

Appointments

Are you big on color-coding your appointments? Adding new appointments while filtered by group now will automatically assign not only the group name, but also the last used appointment color associated with that group.

For repeating appointments and tasks, a slider control has been placed under the monthly calendar on the repeat options to provide a much quicker way of entering the end date of events that repeat every year, such as birthdays and anniversaries that may need to be 20 years or so in the future.

Updates in Chaos Intellect 3.0.3.2 and Time & Chaos 7.0.3.2

• For easier scrolling on on the main navigational calendars, you can now use your mouse wheel to scroll months.
• improved the monthview calendar to automatically scroll to the active date if monthly calendar was having to scroll to display all of the appointment activity.
• The Memos and Lists now support File Shortcuts as a new tab.
• added type ahead to the last name and company fields in the contact entry screen. This has been done to aid in the prevention of manually adding duplicate contacts
• printing of the appointment grid or the task grid now has an option (tweak) to allow the inclusion of a notes column.
• added a toolbar to the quickfind search results.
• redesigned the information about this data popup window under help
• Improved the handling of the default wav sound files in Windows Vista.
• fixed a bug that prevented the password labels from being displayed on the login screen when using multiple passwords.
• fixed a bug in the Tasks area that was preventing the toolbar icons for delete, done from becoming enabled when the appointments where open in read only mode.
• fixed a column sizing issue on Linked Appointments and Linked Tasks notes columns.
• fixed a bug on the daily calendar printout where an appointment scheduled from after 11pm would invalidate the day's appointments
• fixed a bug in the printing of a weekly calendar in autoexpand mode where the 1st day cell height was being incorrectly calculated.

Updates in Chaos Intellect 3.0.3.2 only

• ReplyTo All was not automatically including a signature, nor marking the message with the vertical reply marker
• Message attachments have a new right menu option to copy to clipboard so that you can easily select multiple attachments and paste them in any windows folder or desktop.
• a few adjustments to handle non-conforming inline images and attachments.
• sorting on the column for sender or recipients, now is case insensitive and ignores entries that begin with " character.
• added a new search footer in the email list of messages
• added a new checkbox on the message composer for "Save a copy to Sent Items." Unchecking this option will prevent a copy of the message from being added to your sent items folder; instead placing it into trash.
• improved the simple clicking of a href in an html mail message

How to update your software

If you would like to update an previous version of Time & Chaos 7 or of Chaos Intellect 3, just go to the Help menu and look for "Check for newer version". Using this option, the program will check for a newer version and offer to download and install it for you.

We recommend allowing it to use the options that it wants to during install to replace your old version with the new. Any data files you have will not be affected by installing the update!
