New Intellect/Time & Chaos

Hello from Chaos Software Group! We are sending this short message out today to let you know our Intellect 3.0.3.9 and Time & Chaos 7.0.3.9 have been released.

If you have Time & Chaos 7 or Intellect already installed, you can go to the Help Menu and Check For Newer Version to have the program download and install this update for you.

We never quit working on improving our software!

If you have been a customer of ours for years, you already know that we like to keep working on our software to continually improve things. This latest version has a few new goodies to play with, but it also has some "behind-the-scenes" optimization and "code refactoring" that should result in improved performance and stability.

For T&C and Intellect: Improved Quick Find

We hope you have been getting good use of our Quick Find option at the top right of the screen. Type in a phrase and it will look for it in every section of our program! New to this release is a redesigned results page that should perform faster and will even let you delete items from your database if need be.

What else is new in both T&C and Intellect?

• Day Titles (untimed appointments) now print out in alphabetic order.
  
• Ampersand (&) characters now display correctly in the contact address area above the telephone numbers.
• You can now limit the number of older backups to keep. (Keeping older backups was a new option in the last version.)
• We've added the default phone label text to the column selection within Contact report screen
• We fixed an issue on the Month View screens that made it awkward to cut, copy, paste and delete items using the right click menu.
• We fixed an issue when clicking ENTER on a Contact would cause two Contact screens to open.
• Our Web Synchronization feature for ChaosHost users now has an option to perform a sync over a secure connection. (Go to Web Synchronization and Settings to turn this on if you like.)

For Intellect users: easier email account setup

If you are already using Intellect, this doesn't help you much, as you've already got your email working. But for the friends to whom you recommend our software, they will have an easier time setting up their email for the most popular providers, including AOL, Yahoo, Microsoft and GMail.

When you add a new email account, to the right of the incoming or outgoing mail server address, we have added a help "?" icon on the right. This brings up a list of popular providers. If yours is on the list, we'll automatically fill out the correct settings for the server address, port and security options. You can still fill these out manually too for less popular providers.

What else is new with Intellect's email features?

• We've made improvements when printing emails to have more complete headers and consistency.
• We've worked on the message search feature with improved performance. Results are now shown incrementally as they are found so you'll wait less!
• We've fixed a conditional error that could occur at program close for some users.
