New update for Chaos Intellect and Time and Chaos users


	New Intellect/Time & Chaos

Hello from Chaos Software Group! Our newest versions of Intellect (v 3.0.4.0) and Time & Chaos (v 7.0.4.0) have just been released and we are excited to show off some of the new features to you!

If you have Time & Chaos 7 or Intellect already installed, you can go to the Help Menu and "Check For Newer Version to have the program download and install this update for you.

New column choices for Contacts view

If you click on the Contacts option on the lower left, you will get a view with just the contacts section filling our full program window. On the top left of this new Contacts view, you'll find a new option to "Customize additional columns".

New notes sidebar for Appointments and Tasks views

Read the notes on an appointment or task from the new sidebar on the right. Please note you must be on the Grid view to have access to this, not the week or month views.

New Tasks Progress Percentage field

Not quite finished with a task, but want to remind yourself (or others on a network) of your progress? Use the new progress field to indicate how close to completion you are!

New AutoSync options for ChaosHost users

If you have a ChaosHost account to host a copy of your data online, you'll be happy to learn we've added some new AutoSync options to sync with ChaosHost.com at program start and/or at program close. Look for these new options under Web Synchronization on the File menu!

What else is new in both T&C and Intellect?

Updates made to support Windows 7 RC1
We've changed to a brand new installer for the program setup.
Holding the SHIFT key down during program launch will allow a second instance of the program to open.
File Shortcuts on Calendar Items, Contacts, Tasks, Memos can all now accept dropped Mail, Calendar Items, Contacts, Tasks, Memos in addition to normal files and folders.
A new Search Logic option on the Report Screen can now find matches using "Begins With".
The program registration on the About screen now automatically processes a UAC elevation request in both Vista and Windows 7 without having to close the program and re-launch as Administrator from the program icon.
The color of the optional gridlines has been significantly lightened for a more modern appearance. Should you wish to use the old gridline color, you will find an option on the Appearance section of the program options for dark gridlines.
The option to backup and restore to A:\ has been removed as most computers are lacking an A: now. If you have an older computer and still want to backup to the A:, just use the "This Folder" option.
Within a Contact record, the custom fields now has a resizable column width for the data so that the drop down editors are not so far to the right that they are unnoticed. Also added a popup menu with Cut, Copy, Paste & Delete.
A new restore data option has been added for ChaosHost.com users: Update Restored Records to Overwrite Chaos Hosting Data. Checking this option will allow an administrator to force their restored records to all other synchronized locations.
Print Preview zooming is now done with the mouse scroll wheel instead of right and left clicks.
Improved the program logic for dealing with program screen size and position and multiple monitors.
Fixed a bug that prevented the new backup quantity from saving to anything other than 10 old backups.
Fixed a bug with Locate Item in the quickfind search results where is failed to locate calendar, task items.

What else is new with Intellect's email features?

The Message list has a new "Send to ..." option (like we have for calendar, contacts, tasks) on the right-click pop up menu so that you can now copy a message directly across a LAN to another user's inbox, rather than having to redirect it back to the mail server.
If you are not currently viewing the mail section or if the program is minimized and a new email message arrives, the alarm monitor in the system tray now provides a popup notification. (If you do not have the alarm monitor enabled, you can start it by going to Tools, Options, then Calendar (under Contact Management).
When using the View Source for an email message, there is now a Find option at the top to search the source of a message for something.
Printing of a plain text message will no longer include the html codes in the page header.
Internally, we've made a change to where the storage message counts and folder bold status is stored to improve performance.
Fixed a problem with certain html email messages containing an invalid base href that could cause attached inline images to not be displayed.
