New Intellect/Time & Chaos

Hello from Chaos Software Group! Our newest versions of Intellect (v 3.0.4.1) and Time & Chaos (v 7.0.4.1) have recently been released and we are writing today to introduce some of the new features to you!

If you have Time & Chaos 7 or Chaos Intellect already installed, you can go to the Help Menu and "Check For Newer Version to have the program download and install this update for you.

New EyeCandy: Appearance Themes

A year ago, we released some new choices for changing the appearance of our software including a "blue" look that matched how many of the newest programs looked at the time. In the year since, so many things have the same "blue" look that we got tired of it and decided to offer up many new color choices to change the look from "Tired" to "Wired".  The choice to pick one of these appearance themes can be found by going to Tools, Options, Appearance.  Take a look at the choices below:

Years go by faster and faster

One other quick and useful update to mention: You can now click on the "Month Year" caption at the top of the monthly navigation calendars to quickly jump to other years without using the Next Year Button. (This also replaces the old scrollbar under the appointment and task repeat through calendar that we added to help jump multiple years.)

Intellect Mail Filters redesigned

The Mail Filters system in Intellect has been completely redesigned to offer more user control than before. Mail filters can now be prioritized by simple drag and drop to order them by which rules should be used first. Any specific mail filter may be assigned to operate on only a single mail account rather than on every mail account using this inbox.

If you have mail filters in an older version of Intellect, they will be automatically converted to the new format when you first run this new version.

What else is new in both T&C and Intellect?

• New Windows 7 theme included for the today page (Intellect and Time & Chaos 7 are both Windows 7 ready, by the way!)
• Added a "Copy as text" to the popup menu of the quick find search results to allow you to paste the text into a spreadsheet or other document.
• Added a few additional hotkeys to the telephone entry screen to allow navigation between the tab sheets.
• Fixed an issue that would cause the Tab Captions to word wrap when using large or extra large fonts.
• Changed sort behavior for Custom Fields regarding number fields. Only custom fields containing the # symbol will sort numerically, where previously we used either # or the word number. This was causing conflicts with other fields such as telephone number 1.
• New support added for the Portuguese language thanks to Vitor Biscaia of Portugal.
• Fixed a password screen vulnerability.
• Fixed a issue that prevented web sync and dbtools from being found when the user installed the program on a different drive letter.
  

What else is new with Intellect's email features?

• Added a new option to turn on/off the smart mail filters created by us that are built-in.
• IMAP copy to inbox now works for multiple selected messages.
• The option to spell check before saving will now be ignored during a mail merge operation. The template is still spell checked, just not each generated individual copy.
• Improved the active component focus to change based on the mouse position. Simply hovering over the message list, html message preview or the mailbox tree will change the focus to the underlying component so that its easy to hover and mouse wheel.
• Search for mail messages now picks up the currently selected folder
• Fixed a small bug that prevented the empty trash function from also removing entries from the msgcache database
• The db repair tool has been enhanced so the compact button will clean out superfluous records for .msg files that no longer exist on the system.
• The use of MAPI within other programs, such as MS Word to Send to Email Recipients, now supports the use of your default stationery and your signature insertion options.
