Filter Contacts by Groups
Have a large contact list? The larger it is, the slower it gets when
loading across the web.
Other than having a smaller database to begin with, one solution is to
use our Groups feature to organize your Contacts into smaller subsections.
If you have already created groups for your Contacts, there are two ways
to use this info with the Mobile Edition of Chaos Data Live to filter down
the list of Contacts to the select group you are interested in.
- On the fly, you can tap on the Label at the top of the Contacts
area. By default, when showing the complete list of names, it will
say "All Contacts". If you tap on this label, it will be replaced
with a drop down list from which you can select a particular group you
would like to focus on. You can also return back to the full list by
choosing "All".
- In the Options area, one choice available to you is to select the
Default Contact Group Filter for your Contacts. If you make a selection
here, this will be the group the main Contact area starts with.
For users with very large databases, this is highly recommended, so you
can have it start with a much smaller portion of your list that will be
quicker to load and work with!
