Although there are a few ways to add a new appointment item, the most obvious is to simply click the NEW toolbar icon above the appointments list on the main screen of the program.
The only required field you must fill out is the description field. eg. Meeting with Fred Derf.
Start Time and End Time are both optional. If you leave them both blank, this appointment will appear at the top of the day as a sort of title. This is a perfect example of how to enter holidays and birthdays, for instance.
Only Appointments that have a Start time can have an Alarm Reminder pop up.
Group (Optional): Can be useful for placing " like" appointments together. Appointment Groups MIGHT be Employee Names, Business, Personal, or the name of a project.
Color (Optional): Can be useful to allow an appointment with special meaning to stand out from the others.
