Any information you give to Chaos Software Group, Inc. will be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to. A more detailed explanation about how we safeguard your personal information is described below. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know .

This privacy statement covers our policy for www.chaoshost.com:

We host and store a copy of your databases on our own personally managed dedicated server.

We do not offer your data or details on your data or usage to other sources.

We do not claim ownership of your data. Users retain ownership of their own databases. Should this service be discontinued, sold, or transferred to another party in the future, your data will NOT be transferred to another party without your express approval. Our asset is you as a customer, not your data!

Should you lose the password to your database, our policy is to only offer a replacement password back by email to the administrator email address listed on your account. (You can update this address from inside your account options to make sure we have a working address for this situation should it ever come up!)

We monitor the size of your databases and track the logins and logouts both for you (in the database log you can view in the Options area on ChaosHost.com) and for us (to help us keep up with demands on our server).

Our policy is that we do not access your databases ourselves unless it is with your own approval and at your own request. In such a situation, we treat it with extreme confidentiality and when the problem at hand is dealt with we again stay out of your data.

We have no advertising on chaoshost.com at this time, so no third parties would be monitoring or tracking you either during your sessions at chaoshost.com.

We make weekly encrypted backups of the data files for recovery in case of server disasters, but this is not a substitute for using the available options to ensure you have your own local copy of the data files as well.

As a user, you should be either, 1) synchronizing with your PC program regularly or 2) downloading backup files of your data from ChaosHost.com from time to time.

We feel we have taken every reasonable precaution to protect your databases and to treat them with the same care (or more so) than we would treat our own personal data.
