What's new in version 10.3 of Chaos Intellect?

Here are some of the highlighted changes in this update:

• New themes for Windows 10 Light and Window 10 Dark
• New stationery editor to change the style of your emails
• New insert bar to list emoji, snippets and merge fields you can add in your messages
• New option to resize image files if you want to email a smaller version than the original
• New option to embed images directly in the message content instead of requiring an attachment
• Signatures are changed automatically if you change mail accounts for an outgoing message you are composing

Perhaps bigger than these but more "behind the scenes" is that Chaos Intellect 10.3 uses an all-new message editor for emails. This new editor no longer has any dependency on the Microsoft HTML Engine built-in to Windows that was shared with Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser. As Microsoft has continued to move away from supporting their older browser with their newer Microsoft Edge and their current replacement browser Microsoft Edge Chromium edition, Microsoft has warned developers that Internet Explorer and the shared HTML Engine in Windows will be removed from a future version of Windows 10. While they have not given a firm date for this removal as of the time I am writing this, we knew that Chaos Intellect would need to be updated to remove this depenency so you can have an expectation that Chaos Intellect will continue to work for you for years to come.

It should also be noted there are a few other items handled differently or removed from 10.3:

• No To: or CC: or BCC: buttons (selecting multiple recipients, using group or category filters, or selecting alternate email addresses can be done from the main Contact list instead)
• Email messages do not have internal Notes separate from the mail content
